Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager -  Lux Research B.V. – Amsterdam, NL

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Generalist with strong recruiting experience to be the HR representative in our Amsterdam office.  This role will be responsible for a full complement of HR and recruiting responsibilities – ultimately owning the entire employee life cycle (recruiting, selection, hiring, onboarding, advising, engagement & development, performance management to eventual exit (separation or retirement).


Position Responsibilities:

Recruiting/Talent Acquisition

  • Work with hiring managers to understand position requirements, set expectations, and maintain communications throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Develop position profiles and postings that are attractive to potential candidates.
  • Review candidate’s resumes and assess their fit.
  • Conduct phone screens, provide candidate assessments, and recommend viable candidates to hiring manager for further consideration.
  • Source candidates through job postings, referrals, and direct sourcing using proactive tactics (social media, networking, and cold calling, etc.).
  • Lead candidate interview feedback session; provide follow up on interview as necessary.
  • Manage all candidate communications and information to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the Talent Acquisition process.
  • Interview scheduling; managing complex and complicated calendars.
  • Train new hiring managers on interviewing skills and compliance.

Human Resources/Administration

  • Partner with HR Director (US based) on employment offer management practices (managing offers; creating employment agreements, supporting immigration/work permit processes etc.).
  • Partner with the Learning & Development Manager (US based) and managers on employee onboarding (creating content and facilitating and evaluating process).
  • Act as first point of contact for employees with feedback and questions.
  • Consult with management as a trusted HR advisor.
  • Provide advice to employees and line managers regarding Dutch labour law and benefits in the areas of holiday, absence, maternity leave, parental rights, etc.
  • Utilize knowledge of Dutch labour laws to serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to key decision-makers in the Company.
  • Work with leaders to actively manage and resolve performance issues proactively and minimize organizational risk.
  • Work closely with US HR and Finance team to ensure employee changes are captured accurately and timely.
  • Serve as Office Administrator and Business Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources with recruitment responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; Legal, or Business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual English and Dutch fluency is required.  English is the business language for Lux Research.  Other languages are a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency; trustworthy and highly ethical.
  • Technology savvy; experience utilizing Microsoft Office products; social media, etc.
  • Experience with an ATS system is desired (we use JazzHR).
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Comfort working with and communicating with a foreign based (US) Headquarters and supervisor (US based HR Director).
  • Global recruiting experience is a plus (Europe/Asia)
