The global push to reduce emissions to mitigate the worst effects of climate change and reach long-term net-zero emissions targets are forcing companies in the energy sector to make dramatic changes. At the forefront of this shift are zero emission power generation technologies, which are quickly replacing conventional fossil-fuels to power the energy transition. As the energy industry embarks on this dramatic transition, not all companies will successfully adapt.
At Lux, we serve innovative companies seeking to understand technology developments in the energy space and successfully navigate the energy transition. Clients include those in the energy industry, such as utilities and oil and gas companies, as well as industries impacted by the energy transition, such as automakers and heavy industry. In this role you will be expected to provide these clients with insights into technical advancements in power generation such as wind turbines and solar photovoltaics. This includes identifying which technology innovations are most important to follow, understanding the business models developers of those technologies are using to bring new innovations to market, and advise our clients on how they should proceed.
Lux’s Energy Sciences team is seeking to hire a Research Associate to cover the latest technology innovations in direct power generation technologies like wind and solar.
Remote work is not possible for this role.
Prefer Amsterdam, Netherlands but will consider candidates in other Lux offices including Boston, U.S.; New York City, U.S.; and Singapore.
