Marketing Director

Lux Research is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Marketing Director to join our Marketing & Product Strategy team.  You will be part of the team identifying and driving go-to-market success initiatives enabling the organization to scale.  In this role, you will report to the VP, Marketing & Product Strategy and will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including senior leadership. 

The Marketing Director will lead the strategy and execution of Lux’s B2B marketing efforts.  The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional with a passion for marketing, its impact and influence on new business outcomes, and demonstrated experience with modern, data driven marketing tactics, platforms, channels, and vendors. He/She will be a skilled marketing strategist and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the department and provide guidance and feedback
  • Partner closely with Sales and Product leadership to ensure laser-focus on top priorities and communication about status and results
  • Partnering with Product Marketing to adopt, reinforce, and evolve branding and corporate messaging
  • Lead the Marketing team to:
  • Design and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of and drive qualified leads for the company’s B2B business activities, including, but not limited to, lead generation campaigns, social media, blog, webinars, events/conferences, press/media, and corporate website
  • Produce content for the company’s online presence and overall content marketing initiatives
  • For the near term, primary focus to build and optimize lead generation machine to drive new business
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources
  • Manage vendors and third-party relationships
  • Own and manage associated platforms and processes
  • Monitor and analyze results; make decisions to try new tactics and retire underperforming tactics
  • Build team culture of continuous learning with a focus on excellence and evolution

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years proven experience as Marketing Director or Marketing Manager ready for his/her next move
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizing skills
  • Analytical, critical, and creative thinker
  • Outstanding oral & written communication, as evidenced by prior work product
  • Knowledgeable about current digital marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough understanding of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
  • Data-driven approach to decision making
  • Outcomes-oriented professional who can handle multiple competing work streams
  • Experience marketing and positioning professional services product portfolios
  • Experience using HubSpot and Salesforce (or analogous CRM platforms)
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field
  • Fascination with technology innovation encouraged 

This role is based in our Boston office.  We are only considering candidates able and willing to work full-time in the Boston office.  There is no relocation assistance for this position and qualified candidates must be able to work in the US without restriction and without work visa sponsorship.
